Demo and full release are separate
Heathen is an upcoming first-person dungeon crawler from Christopher Yabsley. The October plan concerns the demo. It does not give the full game an October release date.
The demo is intended to offer an early way into the game. Its contents, available classes, duration and co-op access have not been announced, so a trial build should not be treated as the complete game.

Where to find the right Heathen
Open Heathen on Steam under Christopher Yabsley. The correct app is 4702700. Heathen: The Sons of the Law is a different game, so its purchase button, release date and reviews do not describe this one.
Wishlist the game to keep it in your Steam library of followed releases. When a demo becomes available, use its Steam download button. There is no demo-download button on this guide yet.

Watch the gameplay overview to see the first-person camera, melee combat and inventory in motion. The presentation is more useful than a still image if head movement affects your comfort.
For hardware preparation, compare your PC with the listed minimum fields. The requirements do not include a resolution, frame-rate target or recommended hardware profile.
For a closer look at these systems, read first-person gameplay and camera comfort, PC minimum requirements checker and platforms and online co-op.
